Text Box: Nothing to do this spring break? Then Nagashima Spaland is for you. On April 13th Atsugi’s teen center is sponsoring a trip to Nagashima spaland. The cost is only $25.00. you must register at central registration in Atsugi. Lunches will not be provided. So make sure to bring enough money for the day. Nagashima Spaland is the place to be for updated old-style amusement park thrills. The park, called one of the best in Japan by Mainichi newspaper, features the Steel Dragon, a world record holding roller coaster for height (for an out-and-back coaster), at 97 meters, and length, at nearly 2.5 kilometers. This roller coaster can achieve a speed of 153 kilometers an hour during its initial dive from its 97 meter peak.
