GENERAL INFORMATION
4-H is the youth outreach program of the Cooperative Extension Service, College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, University of Hawaii. 4-H is a non-formal educational program providing kids leadership, community service learning and peer interaction activities. 4-H builds youth between the ages of 5 to 19 to become contributing members of their society.

The 12th Annual 2006 Oahu 4-H Communications Fair is sponsored by the Oahu 4-H Program. The fair will feature speech and demonstration contests along with a presentation of prejudged photography, exhibit, poster, creative writing, video and PowerPoint entries. The theme of the Fair is "        " and is open to 4-H youth in elementary to high school! By focusing on the above theme, youth can express concerns about issues affecting their lives, their community, their environment, or their world. It is through both verbal and non verbal communication that youth can make a difference!

As Camp Zama is affliated with the Oahu 4-H program, we are eligable to participate in the photgraphy, poster, creative writing, video and PowerPoint entries.

DIVISIONS : (Age as of January 1, 2006)
A.  Senior Division (14-19 year olds)
B.  Intermediate Division (12-13 year olds)

ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION
All participants must be registered as a 4-H member with the Camp Zama 4-H Organization to participate in this activity. Youth who have not previously registered need to fill out the 4-H Youth Enrollment (Form Y-1); Parental Permission and Medical Information Summary (Form Y-2); and Media and Informational Release (Form Y-3). These enrollment forms are available from the Extension Offices or from the 4-H website, http://www2.ctahr.hawaii.edu/4h/forms.asp

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  2. Entries . Submit entries with the applicable form above. You need to turn in all photographs, exhibits, posters, creative writing, video tape, or diskette/CDs with the applicable form. ***Please have registration forms typed or written in pen; no pencil will be accepted. Any form that is unreadable or incomplete will be returned back to the participant. No faxing of forms will be allowed.

Note: All participants will receive an individual or group recognition award for participating. Participants who submit forms by the deadline will be eligible for the purple ribbons, category and top of show (see descriptions below)
